A few weeks ago I reported that an EE Power Bar portable battery charger had exploded, injuring a student.
Please note that if you have one of these, EE has just announced a product recall and you need to check the serial number and return any offending Power Bars to an EE store as soon as possible.
The Model Number that you need to be aware of is E1-06 which is printed down the side of the Power Bar (see photo below). If you have one of these, return it pronto, and don’t use it (certainly don’t charge it up again!).
With the “loan” nature of these free Power Bars, didn’t I say that it was only a matter of time before something like this happened?
