From today (1st of July 2015) the price of calling 08 numbers in the UK from a mobile phone is changing.
0800 and 0808 numbers will be free, but 0845 numbers et al. will have a standard connection fee applied to them by each network.
Check out your network operator's information regarding these changes.

In my view, these new charges are even more confusing than previously, and are not in the best interest of the customer.
However, it's great to be finally able to call Freephone numbers from a mobile and not be charged. Some networks (most notably giffgaff.com) have provided free 0800 and 0808 calls for some years now, so it's good to see the other networks finally brought into line.

I shall still be using WeQ4U on my various mobile phones to save money, which I thoroughly recommend.
